How to Use the SIP & Lumpsum Calculator
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is a powerful way to build wealth over time. The SnappedKit.com Advanced SIP Calculator helps you estimate the future value of your mutual fund investments instantly, offering multi-currency support, inflation adjustments, and tax calculations.
1. SIP vs Lumpsum Mode
Use the toggle at the top of the calculator to switch between SIP (regular investments) and Lumpsum (one-time investment). You can instantly see how much more a lumpsum investment yields due to compound interest taking effect immediately, versus averaging it out over time with a SIP.
2. Multi-Currency Support
Click the currency dropdown in the top right header (next to the theme toggle) to switch between ₹ INR, $ USD, € EUR, and £ GBP. The calculator will automatically adjust number formatting (e.g. displaying Crores/Lakhs for INR, and Millions/Thousands for USD/EUR/GBP).
3. Advanced Options
- Investment Frequency: Switch from Monthly (default) to Weekly, Quarterly, or Yearly SIPs depending on your cash flow.
- Annual Step-up: Check this to automatically increase your SIP amount every year. Even a small 5-10% annual increase dramatically boosts your final corpus.
- Inflation Adjustment: Inflation eats away at purchasing power. Check this box to discount your final corpus, showing you what your future wealth will actually be worth in today's money.
- Tax Deduction: Instantly deduct Long Term Capital Gains (LTCG) tax from your final returns to get a realistic post-tax valuation.
4. Goal Setup Calculator
Don't know how much to invest? Click the Goal Calculator tab at the bottom. Enter your target corpus (e.g., 1 Crore), how many years you have, and your expected rate of return. The calculator will tell you exactly how much you need to SIP every month to reach that goal.
5. Sharing and Printing
Click the Share button in the toolbar to generate a unique URL containing all your parameters. You can send this link to friends or clients. The Print button generates a clean, ink-friendly report of your amortization schedule.
