How to Use the Password Generator

SnappedKit.com Password Generator helps you create secure passwords, passphrases, and PINs with fast local processing. The tool runs completely in your browser and never sends generated credentials to a server.

1. Generate a Standard Password

  1. Open the Standard tab.
  2. Set the password length (recommended 16+).
  3. Enable uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols for better entropy.
  4. Use advanced options like excluding ambiguous characters or requiring each character set.
  5. Click Generate Password or Refresh.

2. Read the Strength Meter

The right panel shows:

3. Use Passphrases for Memorability

In the Passphrase tab, generate multi-word passphrases (3 to 10 words) using a diceware-style word list. Choose separator and capitalization style to balance usability and security.

4. Generate in Bulk

In the Bulk tab, create 2 to 100 passwords at once using your current standard settings. Copy individual passwords, copy all, or download as a plain text file.

5. Create PINs Safely

The PIN tab supports 4/6/8 digit PIN generation with options to prevent repeated digits and simple sequences.

6. Check Existing Password Strength

Use Strength Checker to analyze current passwords, identify weaknesses, and get practical suggestions such as how many characters to add to reach Strong or Very Strong targets.

Password vs Passphrase

A password is often shorter and symbol-heavy. A passphrase is multiple random words and may be easier to remember while still providing high entropy when generated randomly.

All generation and analysis happen client-side. Session history is stored in session storage and cleared when the tab session ends.
